While you’re preparing for a night away or a week-long vacation, it’s important to take time to prepare your dog for its upcoming stay at our luxury dog boarding facility here in North Myrtle Beach, SC. As a trusted dog boarding and daycare facility, there are things pet owners need to do before leaving their best friend to stay with us. That’s why our team here at Coastal Paws Pet Resort has come up with 5 things to know before boarding your dog at our facility.
Up-To-Date Vaccinations
Our dog kennel requires all guests to have up-to-date vaccinations before their stay at our dog boarding facility. This includes all flea and tick medicine. This ensures that all of our guests are protected.
Pack Their Food
We certainly encourage our guests’ parents to bring enough food for the duration of their stay. This way we can maintain consistency as much as possible. However, if you would rather not bring their food, we are happy to feed them our house food at no additional charge. When providing your own food, we ask that you put it in zip-lock bags by portion to ensure they get the same amount as they would at home.
Non-Destructible Toys
While we provide a comfortable environment for all our guests, we do allow our guests to have their own toys with them that are non-destructible. Plush toys, ropes, and any toys that could possibly be ingested are not allowed.
Medication
If your dog is on any type of medication, we can continue to administer it to them for the duration of their stay. We ask that you bring the medications in the original medicine bottle to ensure the correct dosage and correct medication are given at prescribed times. Please let us know how you administer their medication at home so we can keep this as familiar as possible. Unfortunately, we do not administer insulin, therefore are unable to board diabetic pets.
