So you’ve got your summer vacation planned and you’re just about ready to depart but before you go you need to get your pup situated for their vacation at Coast Paws Pet Resort here in Myrtle Beach, SC! Our team has come up with a few things you should know and need before you board your pet at our facility!
Current Vaccinations
Before your furry friend gets to enjoy the duration of your trip at our facility, he or she needs to be current on all vaccinations (click here for a list that we require + encourage), be on preventative flea/heartworm medication, must be parasite free, and in overall good health to ensure the safety of your pup as well as the others in our care. Any new pets must be in your care for at least 30 days before they can stay in our facility.
Their Own Food
We strongly encourage you to bring enough food for your pup for the duration of their stay so we can maintain as much consistency as possible. Sometimes, when pets are in a new environment their stomachs are more likely to become upset, so having their own food helps. If a situation arises and we need to feed your pup our house food, we do it at no additional cost to you.
Your Pet’s Medication
If your pup is taking any medications prior to their stay, we ask that you bring the medications in the original medicine bottle that way we can ensure the correct dosage and correct medication are given at prescribed times. We also ask that you please provide detailed information of how you administer the medication at home so that we can keep this as close to what they are familiar with as possible!
Overall, your pet’s safety is our top priority. Our staff here at Coastal Paws Pet Resort has an open line of communication with all of our guest’s parents! If you have any questions or concerns before your pet’s stay at our facility, do not hesitate to contact us! We’re always here to help!
